comp sci at UIUC or at NU?

What is a better choice , especially in terms of potential job prospects at grad time?

also answer compare the two schools and the opportunities for experiential learning during UG time.

My first area of comp sci that I was comparing between the two would be comp sci in the LAS college .

The 2nd area would be comp sci in the Eng college.

I wonder what the folks at UIUC’s sub forum wd say?

I saw this 5 yr old post that says that UIUC is the better bet. What say the current oracles?

yeah UIUC is like the undisputed champion of CSE and EE. its always been their forte.

I wonder about the comp sci degree in the LAS college (vs CSE)…is UIUC still the undisputed champ?

does NU have a comp sci degree from LAS or only from the engineering college?

You can do CS in either Weinberg or McCormick. The only difference is the general ed program, all program requirements are the same. I’m a Weinberg-CS major.

I am naive to NU-ese right now. But a quick search found that weinberg is liberal arts and sciences and mccormick is engineering. cool . so that is the same as at uiuc.

so sir, since you are a student in it and have presuably done some research in your field of study, how wd you rate NU’s LAS weinberg CS degree to UIUC 's LAS CS degree?

also, sir, does the W college have the same academic entrance reqs as the M college? if not, how are they different? I know that the entrance reqs at uiuc’s las college is a little easier than the ones in the E pgm.

EDIT:
I re-read your post and I see that at NU the CS degree is virtually the same in the two colleges at NU.
