I want to take the Comp Sci test as a self study. I feel like it’s something I may do in the future and it interests me. However, my deadline for officially choosing is next friday. Today, I told the teacher who normally teaches the class and she said, if I can’t do at least decently on the diagnostic test, that I should not take the test. So I need to assemble all of the Youtube videos, prep material, and anything I can find. I am aiming for at least a 2 on the practice diagnostic test because if I can manage that much, I think I can get a 4 at the very least with some more studying under my belt.

So any Youtube videos, cram packets, reviews, quizlets, practices for the Computer Science A AP test would be greatly appreciated!

What I currently have:
Princeton Review A + AB, 2006-2007 edition (bought used and cheap)
Barron’s A + AB 2009 edition (borrowed)
and the print out of sample questions from the website

All help is greatly appreciated!

A great testbook to use would be “Java Software Solutions” by Lewis and Loftus. The concepts are explained lucid manner and the book also has a lot of exercises to build you programming skills. You can get it for $0.57 at Amazon:

[Amazon.com: Java Software Solutions: Foundations of Program Design (6th Edition) (9780321532053): John Lewis, William Loftus: Books](http://www.amazon.com/Java-Software-Solutions-Foundations-Program/dp/0321532058/)

If you need some practice, here’s a great website with old AP questions MC questions: https://www.tracy.k12.ca.us/sites/clunetta/Java/practice/practice.htm

You should also go through thenewboston’s videos on YouTube for Java. He explains even the most complex concepts very clearly and informatively and most of his videos are less that 10 minutes long.

I hope this helps! :)
