Compare CR with AP

I did SAT but none of the APs. I have a very curious question (I know it’s random… nevertheless…) Is it harder to achieve >750 in SAT CR or a 5 in some APs, like AP history, government, etc. ?

statistically, getting a 5 is “easier” than getting in the 750+ range. but AP and SAT are different entities. You’re trying to compare aptitude testing with achievement testing (In completely separate subjects at that!)

I got a CR of 76 (equal to 760) on my sophomore PSAT, but I only got a 4 in my freshman year AP (which was Human Geo).
I’m a perfect example that yes, it’s easier to get a 750+ on CR than a 5.

No, you’re an example that some people do better on CR than AP Human Geography. That’s about all you can take from that.

^ Then how can we possibly answer the OP’s question?

@minnesota

It’s not possible to answer OP’s question because he’s comparing apples to oranges. The SAT is an aptitude test that is highly correlated to IQ; in other words it’s mostly a measure of innate intelligence. Conversely, AP tests are tests of specific knowledge, and one can’t score well on an AP test without preparing for it beforehand.

^Exactly, it’s a silly question. Unless he just wants straight proportions or anecdotal evidence, we can’t answer his question.

Now if you compared the AP English exam to the SAT CR, then we’d be talking.

For everybody’s info- I’m not an idiot I knew this was a pointless comparison. I was exaggerating when I said I was a perfect example. I don’t think it showed though, and i can’t stand when people don’t get my sarcasm.

Sarcasm rarely translates well into text.

Also, if you were exaggerating when you said that, why did you say this:
