B student looking for LAC. Possibly major in Business. How would you compare the quality of education and students at Roanoke, Whittier and Eckerd? Roanoke is closer to home but like the warmer weather.

eckerd and roanoke very good schools. I am not familar with whittier (other than hearing of it)

you should also look at rollins college and hendrix college.
if you are not 100% against colder weather elizabethtown college in PA

I have a good friend who is a young professor at Roanoke and she is very impressed with the students and the faculty. She loves everything about it.

We visited Roanoke College this fall and I really, really liked it. Their core classes were combined in interesting ways, the campus was very pretty, the students seemed happy and friendly. The only downside (in Son’s opinion) was the size; it is a bit smaller than what he is looking for.

Eckerd has great study abroad programs during the semesters, winter term, spring into summer programs, etc. They also have a SIFE chapter, students in free enterprise, and compete nationally. They have numerous internship programs local and national, and have a good relationship with the City of St. Petersburg. The business students in SIFE received the key to the City of St. Petersburg and have placed regionally and nationally during competitions. The weather is a plus, the student body is diverse and the professors seem to invest themselves with their students.

Thank you all for you assistance. Is anyone familiar with Whittier?
