<p>I really like Umass Amherst, but I’m from N.Y., and it’s still pretty expensive OOS. How do you think it compares to Suny Albany? They seem to want the same stats, but I like the feel of Umass better, seems to have more school spirit, and definitely nicer location.</p>
<p>The school spirit is pretty good here, but it could be much better though. I like the location too in comparison to Albany. I haven’t visited SUNY Albany however and I really can’t compare the two any farther. If money is tight however, I would just stick to SUNY Albany.</p>

<p>I imagine very few people have been to both schools so you’re probably not going to get any worthwhile subjective opinions. It’s impossible/irresponsible to say something about another school without having gone there. That being said, you should therefore take a look at the available objective measures. Look into the departments/majors that you are interested in and check out their websites. Try again later with more specific questions.</p>
<p>I went to SUNY Albany many years ago…studied business there, got my CPA license, then went to law school. It served my purposes and I had a great time there. It gets cold and snowy sometimes…but all part of the fun.</p>
