Comparison Issue

A good online course at the high school level provides resources that are comparable to courses in which teachers and students are in the same room.
 (A) courses
 (B) providing courses
 (C) that of courses
 (D) ones provided by then
 (E) those provided by courses

I know this is an incomplete comparison.
But I still don’t get what it’s comparing what to?

comparing: resources from online courses at high schools TO resources from online courses in which teachers/students in same room

answer: E
explanation: you’re not comparing resources to courses here; you’re comparing resources from 2 different courses. Cross out prepositional phrases–cross out “at the high school level” and “in which teachers and students are in the same room.” Then you have “A good online course provides resources that are comparable to courses.” Resources need to be compared to resources, and only E provides the plural “those” necessary. D “ones” is good but the misplacement of “then” is not good.
