Competition- pre-med/pre-dent

I’m really interested in UCLA, but I’m wondering how cutthroat the competition is at the school- I’m interested in a career in either medicine or dentistry, and I’ve heard that with UCLA being such a big school w/ so much competition, it’s harder to get a high gpa in comparison with smaller liberal arts schools, where you may get more one-on-one attention. Any thoughts? Thanks.

Doesn’t matter. The competition level is going to be the same at any 4-year college because, duh, trying to get into med-school is a competitive process. If you think going to an “easier” college will help you in regards to getting a higher GPA for requisite courses, you are sadly mistaken. You’ll pay, and not in the good sense, later on when preparing for the MCAT because you’ll be lacking in fundamentals.
