Competition to decline

In what year is the competition in college admissions supposed to decline?

in five years

yea, agreed about 2010 or 2011 because that’s when babies born from baby boomers will start to really decline.

why not soonerrrrrrrrrrr!?

oh lol, i’m sure you’ll be fine.

baby boomers are a pain

Just keep flunking grades so you’ll be held back. Lol. =P

There was an article somewhere about this…I believe the year at which the number of applicants will begin to decline is 2013 or something like that.

I reckon some of u maybe mistaking about the year because in some publications they mentioned not the specific year it’s going to decline, but the graduation year of the students. So, if that’s the case, it should be in 2 years or so.

another good reason to get your application in as soon as possible. The main issue I see is with raising tuition cost and more competitive students applying to limited spots, financial aid might be reduced or not even given to those who need it…

I heard it will start declining with the class of 2010

Where did u hear that?

just remember more doesn’t mean better. ok, so 1 million students will be applying to harvard. acceptance rate would then be about 0.00001% or smth. that doesn’t mean all those 1 mil were actually any good. just loads of them. no matter how many they are, it’s always in your own reach to be better than them. and that’s your goal anyway…being better then most, be they 400 or 1 million.

a newspaper article (can’t remember which newspaper it was though) that my SAT prep teacher showed me.
