Competitive High School Factor

So yeah will colleges factoring in my competitive highschool? It’s Diamond Bar High which has 66% percent Asian population with 871 API score in California. Most people take AP courses and also we have an IB program. We pass 88% of the AP exams and Nearly 100% IB exam. My class rank isn’t the best 413 out of 830 with a 3.5 GPA Top 50%. So Can this benefit me for college applications since it’s great high school and my rank doesn’t reflect me as a whole ??

Depends where.

Colleges do know the reputations of various high schools. Problem is, there are so many tough high schools out there today. Your competition for a good LAC or university is not the kids from struggling, so-so high schools. It is kids from other tough schools.

You must make yourself the best package you can- what are your ECs, leadership experiences, job experiences, awards, etc? How tough are your classes? Have you taken 6 APs or 2? What are your AP exam scores. And SATs? Etc.

okay, then my question is what are you stats? cause you say it doesn’t reflect you as a whole, but you don’t tell us who you are.
