Competitiveness at Princeton?

So I know that Princeton is a private university, but how competitive is it compared to, say, Cal or UCLA? People at privates seem to speak more positively about the competition, especially Stanford kids.

I am of course, not talking about humanities majors. I am talking about the sciences.

CAL and UCLA are light years away from Princeton, in terms of anything.

Care to explain what that comment actually means?

Competition is not a big deal, except perhaps if you’re a pre-med having to take some of the basic sciency-courses (PHY 101, MOL 214, EEB 211, etc.) There’s a very helpful atmosphere.
