competitivity of Annenberg - current students, any thoughts?

<p>I’ve recently applied to the Annenberg School of Communication, and am hoping to get a merit scholarship, but I’m not sure how good my chances are.
If any current students can give me some insight, that’d be great. My stats are as follows:</p>

<p>SATs: 2270 (composite: 760 math + writing, 750 CR)
SAT IIs: (Bio 720, Math I & Math II 710, Lit 660)
GPA: 3.9 uw/4.6w
Rank: 3/164
APs: Euro-4, Stats-5, US-4, Bio-5, currently taking Literature, Environmental Science, Calculus, French
ECs: Theatrical Society (4 years, historian, costume manager, cast and crew)
School Newspaper (3 years, editor-in-chief)
Dance (ballet, pointe, jazz, since age 4)
Academic Decathlon (3 years, 4th place regional Language Lit.)
NHS (math + French tutor)
Varsity Gymnastics (junior year, varsity letter)
Work Experience/Community Serive:
Guest Services Rep at Furniture store (2 years)
Unpaid Box Office Internship (last summer, wrote box office
manual, trained office manager)
Boston Medical Center Volunteer (2 summers ago, led art
projects with children in waiting rooms)
Unpaid Counselor in Training (3 summers ago)

<p>if you become a national merit finalist and put usc as your first choice then you get automatic half ride.</p>

<p>i’d say you’ve got a good chance at getting in, though i have no idea about merit scholarships.</p>
