Complete Golden Bear Advising and submit your proposed class schedule

I’ve completed Golden Bear Advising (the quizzes are done) and I’m not sure about how to submit the proposed class schedule.

Also, even if I finished the modules (read them and took the quizzes) it doesn’t say “completed” on CalCentral.

Please, help me! :frowning:

Check out the FB page for UC Berkeley class of 2021. A lot of people are struggling with this as well and there are lots of threads on there.

Unfortunately I can’t help you much, because I had a different Golden Bear Advising, but Cal Central does take a while to update. A few days, even a week I’ve heard. A lot of people are saying on the FB page that as long as you’ve done all the steps and have submitted everything correctly, it’ll be submitted, even if CalCentral doesn’t say so. CalCentral is pretty behind on the updates.

Ahh, thank you! Also, how did you submit the proposed class schedule? How have you done this process?

@Iaccstudent I don’t know unfortunately, because I had a GBO that was different from a lot of other people’s, but I know that they’ve talked a lot about this on the FB page.

@iiislac It is different for every major - some had to email or call their major adviser, some submitted it in the Golden Bear Advising, some did not need to submit it at all. You need to contact your major adviser that is listed on the lower right hand side under My Academics of Cal Central.

@smrider29 Well I don’t believe I found anything on my CalCentral that said to submit my schedule other than the task: “… you will be given campus and college-specific resources, connect with fellow incoming students and submit a proposed course plan for your first semester.”
I would assume the only way to find out whether or not I have to submit a proposed schedule is to get in touch with my major adviser? There is no way to find out based on my major?
I was not able to complete my GBA until the 23rd because I was on vacation and I was not able to find a good solid time to complete it. I did contact my major adviser late on Friday (via the email that was listed on the lower right hand side of the My Academics tab) but I have yet to receive any response, I am assuming I should by Monday, I am just nervous because I wasn’t too sure how to do everything. I would hope there is no repercussion by doing so. But that is reassuring, thank you!
