Completely lost with UC Prompt 1

<p>“Describe the world you come from - for example, your family, community or school - and tell us how your world has shaped your dreams and aspirations”</p>

<p>Basically, I have nothing. I try to make something creative out of it but it just doesn’t seem right. I want to talk about how basically everyone in my family either attended Medical School, Graduate School, or Law School and how that has made me want to become at a minimum as successful as they have. When I actually start writing though, it sounds arrogant and bland.</p>

<p>Any suggestions?</p>

<p>What if you took each one of your cast of characters in your family and described a lesson that they taught you, a favorite motto that has enlightened you, or a moment when you realized something totally new and different about your family? Did these really smart achievers in your family ever teach you something that you can share? I guess I am most moved by your statement “I have nothing” when in fact you do.</p>
