On all of my applications, I put down either environmental or civil engineering as my intended major. I have not taken calculus and will probably be rejected from all of these schools as a result. I do not know what to do, as it is already Feb. 2nd and decisions come out in less than two months. Is there a way I can change my intended major?

I have only addressed this with my D's "safety" (in state Uni), and they were very open to changes at any time.

So it will depend on your school(s), and you probably have to check with them. Some schools do not EVEN look at your major. Are you SURE they require you to have taken calculus before you enroll?

Are they elite schools/direct admit/honors programs etc? Because I just went and looked up Purdue, which is a good state engineering program, and their math requirements. They'll test you and even put you in pre calc if need be (for an engineering major).

I was actually able to get the admissions offices to WPI, UConn, and UDel on the phone, and they were helpful in telling me who to e-mail in terms of changing the major.
