Completing Econ 11b this summer before transferring to UCSC

So I have been accepted to UCSC part of my requirements were to complete Econ 11A and Econ 11b. I completed Econ 11A but my school did not offer B. Could I complete B at another school this summer (if they were offering it?), I’ve heard sometimes the UC’s don’t like when you split a series between two schools?

Also I’ve found all the schools that offer the course, is there a way to see if these schools are having summer school or even better classes they are offering? The only schedule I could find so far is El Camino College’s.

If none of the JC’s in the area are offering it, is there some other way I could complete it?

I want to get it done before I transfer as I’m assuming Econ 11B will be much harder at SC then at a JC.

If I end up going to UCSC, im taking that in the fall!

Ramfan! Same here!

Chronocross: have you decided on where you’re goin in the fall? Or just waiting on other schools? I’m just waiting on SB to reply and financial aid, so I can SIR…if we all end up going to SC, we’ll mostly likely have class (econ 11b) together :P

LOL hey ramfan! xP

I haven’t decided yet, Nothing from UCI, or UCR, but in the end it’s going to be between UC Davis or UCSC!

@chrono and ram

stop following me everywhere! haha just kidding. Fine, we can all just take it together in the fall then.

NEVAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH hahahaha

Wouldn’t it say in ASSIST if you must take an entire sequence at the same CC to articulate to the sequence at the UC?

@UCB you would think so, but it has no mention. That is just something my counselor told me. Then again my counselors are wrong about 95% of the time.

Counselors suck at CCC. I can not believe how much they got wrong.

mrandall: I think the split should not matter because I have taken class at different colleges. The reason I took them at different colleges because of work sch. All the UC’s care about is that you completed your pre-req.

@mermaker yeah they screw everyone over, also they love to treat me like I’m an idiot. I was actually going to write a rant last week about how terrible they are but then I decided not to.

@wilson - hm good point, I’ll keep looking into it.

They could be referring to situations like this:

[ASSIST Report: SMCC 12-13 UCB Articulation Agreement by Major](http://web1.assist.org/web-assist/report.do?agreement=aa&reportPath=REPORT_2&reportScript=Rep2.pl&event=19&dir=1&sia=SMCC&ria=UCB&ia=SMCC&oia=UCB&aay=12-13&ay=12-13&dora=PHYSICS)

Note that the physics sequence from SMC->UCB is not a 1-to-1 mapping, and the chemistry sequence requires taking the whole sequence at SMC to map to the whole sequence at UCB.

Oh okay, that makes sense. I suppose my best course of action is asking a SC counselor.

Well I’ve checked with all the JC’s in the area that offer Econ 11b, not a single one is offering it overs summer haha damn.

How can you see your conditions of admission on MYUCSC?

@nova, I think you have to have sign your letter of intent first.
