Complex number conjugate: Barrons error?

Barrons says that when graphing complex numbers x is the real part while y is the imaginary part.

They then say that the conjugate of an imaginary number a+bi is a-bi and is a reflection about the y axis.

If bi (the imaginary part) is the y value, why would it reflect about the y axis?

wouldn’t -bi be a reflection about the x axis since a-bi = (x,-y)

Yes I noticed that error too. It is a reflection about the x-axis.

There are so many errors in this book…
