Compression hose-open or closed toe?

Lucky, lucky me!!! I just got a prescription for some thigh high compression stockings. My options are open or closed toe. Any thoughts or experiences?

The brand they wrote the prescription for is Juzo and online they show every color in the rainbow. Fun! I am going to find out if they take prescriptions online or if I have to go with beige or black from the pharmacy.

You may find that just because you have a prescription doesn’t mean they’ll be covered by insurance. I would go with open toe – just more comfortable. It was very helpful, as in extremely helpful to have the hosiery consultant demonstrate exactly how to put them on and take them off. She even had me practice with her critiquing.

Once you’ve had the demo and bought your first pair, you could buy them online.

I had beige, eh, they were no biggie…Mine were after varicose vein work…husband loved them…who would have guessed…
