<p>I’m sorry, CMU, Computer science, 1800, 3.2, Low reach? It’s about as much of a reach as MIT. That aside, your chances are not nearly as low as you would make them out to be for the rest of the colleges. Good luck :)</p>
<p>I think getting into a decent UC shouldnt be a problem, unless you are looking for UCB or UCLA. However if you can improve your SAT into 2000s range you will have a good shot at them</p>
<p>The UCs are more GPA driven, rather than test driven, especially Berkeley. You don’t see 3.2 GPA, 2300 sat students get in often, but you do see 4.3, 1700 sat students get in. Just apply! These students had low expectations but were pleasantly surprised.</p>
<p>for ucs you have a good chance at the lower level ones but berkeley might be difficult. If you write good essays, you will get into carnegie mellon but it is tough for everyone. USC is a lower reach than carnegie mellon. Harvey mudd is a reach but there is still a chance as long as you write good essays. I think you will be in at the rest of the schools.
