Computer and "The Vista"

We’re looking for a very reasonably priced home computer. I am by all means no where near computer savy, but I can Google with the best of them. I have noticed that most of the computers are loaded with Windows Vista. The reviews I have read, (mostly on Amazon.com), have not been too favorable of this program. My question(s): Can I use a HP printer with a computer loaded with Vista? Will I be able to create letters, complete applications, etc.?

Yes you can do all this things on Vista, provided you have the appropriate software.

All in all, I think Vista is fine if you have at least one GB memory and a decent CPU.

I agree, but with the price of RAM what it is now, I’d buy 2GB.

That depends. Go on the HP site and see if Vista drivers are available with your particular printer model.
