I will be attending Purdue next year as an undecided engineering student, and then will most likely be choosing computer engineering. If I do will well at Purdue, will I be able to get good co-ops or internships in california? (my parents will be moving to california). Basically does Purdue have enough name recognition on the west coast to get me in the door if I have good stats?

Just checking in, though I don’t claim to speak for the entire west coast. I’m from Washington, and my physics teacher in particular speaks very highly of Purdue. (He actually comes from NY though, so that might skew the validity of that statement). I have a friend going to Purdue and happy with it as well.

I dont believe name really matters instead i believe they look at gpa and i believe most company wants a 3.0 or higher as a requirement and possibly a junior level. Maybe u should check if a particular company in california recruits students in your school for co-op or internship and if it does then try applying for it.
