Computer or Mechanical Engineering College Suggestions

Hey guys I was just wondering if anyone has any noteworthy colleges that they really liked and have a decent engineering program (specifically mech or comp). I’m trying to increase the size of my list of colleges I’d like to apply to. Thanks.
Also before people say MIT or something here are my stats in general.
SAT1: 2070
SATII: 790m2, will take physics soon

Decent EC’s, some leadership, and also work experience
Majority of my EC’s and work are engineering related.

GPA unweighted/weighted: 96.5/102.4 (no clue how to convert to 4.0)
Class rank: top 5%

Thanks!

Are you an int’l? If not, what is home state?

What is your M+CR?

How much will your parents pay each year? Ask them, please don’t guess.

Not int’l from NJ, 660CR 720M - 1380/1600
If its a top ranked uni they don’t mind paying however much but preferably lower the better (income bracket is >200k) They won’t pay for me to go to like an expensive liberal arts college though

In-state, I’d look at Rutgers and NJIT. OOS, shoot for UMD, Lehigh, Cal Poly State SLO, and Santa Clara University.

Ahh okay thanks, definitely rutgers, njit, umd are on my list but is lehigh that good to make it worth its price?

Lehigh has a top undergraduate engineering program with good industry connections. Students go on to top graduate programs in engineering and beyond, and have ample research opportunities. It’s also a fun school, if you’re interested

Also add Drexel for their co-op program. My friend turned down Princeton this year for it.

Wow that’s crazy, thank you I didn’t know that I’ll definitely be considering those two now,(I just hate Drexel’s campus XD)

Santa Clara University and the UC’s are good too, if you’d go that far.

Yea they seem a bit to far for me :/, also would you consider these schools reach or match or safety for me? I feel they would be match but not sure

Santa Clara may be a low match or regular match. Depending on the UC (probably other than Berkeley or UCLA) they would be a match or safety.

Cooper Union is good too, but has a low acceptance rate, so be wary of that. There’s also NYU, UVA, UDel, and other state schools.

I’d still say your best bets are Lehigh and Drexel because of industry connections and distance.
