Computer science and engineering majors

Anyone majoring in computer science or any other type of engineering major at Mizzou? What about this IT major that you can dual with computer science?

Also, anyone familiar with the bioengineering department?

Think it is awesome that y’all have a wheelchair basketball team.

How inspiring!

Check out mizzourec.com for more info on our wheelchair basketball team. They’re impressively good at playing their game and have made lots of headlines lately! A friend of mine works at the rec as the trainer for the men’s wheelchair basketball team and he constantly raves what fabulous shape those guys are in (hardly because of his input)–seems like a great crowd.

CS is more math oriented and goes deep into everything computer related. IT is more about how to handle computers and multimedia. Both share a lot of the same starter CS classes, so there’s a good amount of crossover. Combine the two, and you are going to know everything you ever probably wanted to know. IT doesn’t require nearly as much math as CS.

If you want to know more about CS and IT, the first class (CS 1000) goes over the basics and differences.
