Computer Science Degree or CMIS?

My school (SIUE) offers both a computer science degree (School of Engineering) and a degree in computer management and information systems (School of Business). I am torn on whether I should choose the CS degree or CMIS degree. There is no doubt that a Computer science degree would be WAY harder but I think being a software engineer would be awesome and being able to be involved with newer technologies.

However, money is a factor to me. From what Ive read Computer Management and information systems majors can make A LOT more money.

They both are expected to grow, but which do you guys think would be the better decision. Thanks everyone!

If you get a CS degree you can pretty much figure everything else in coding/computing out. The reverse isn’t true.
I’d go for the CS.

Realize that the pay levels in the linked page are not entry level pay levels that one can expect straight out of school. In many cases, there may be only a few of the listed jobs (e.g. a company IT department may have one highly paid top manager with a lot of lower paid people in it).
