Computer Science PhD - retake gen. GRE?

So I just got my percentiles and I am not too impressed with my score. Q: 166 (93%) V: 154 (62%) AW: 3.5 (35%). I study computer engineering at a reputable university. From what I know, if your undergrad university is well known, GRE is largely ignored. I goal is to get into a top program so I don’t want my gre score to be a weed out factor before they actually get to read my application. My schedule this semester leaves me very little time to study and drastically improve my score. So at this point I am not sure if it’s worth it to retake the GRE.

From what I know, if your undergrad university is well known, GRE is largely ignored

I don’t think this is true, since part of the purpose of GRE is to compare students from a variety of different schools and even many well-known universities are known for their grade inflation. A bad GRE score can keep you out of grad school regardless of whether you went to Harvard or Framingham State.

But either way, there’s no point in retaking for you: Your Q score is high, your V score is above average and nobody cares about the AW.
