Waterloo(reach)…very immigrant/Asian friendly…
U British Columbia( match) …same as above
U of Toronto( match)…same as above
CWRU…match?
Rice…reach
Brown…reach
U of MN…safety
Not sure if UW refers to Washington or Wisconsin. Both are good.(reachy matches?)

A good strategy for you might be to target Honors programs at “lesser” State flagship schools. I have two BIL’s, both of whom came over to the US as Asian students, both in sciences. One started at Arizona, the other Iowa. Hardly glamorous, but one is now tenured faculty at an Ivy, another works in Silicon valley, and has been involved in numerous start ups. In other words, it’s not how you start, but how you finish.

In general, US schools are harder to predict admissions wise, especially if you are Asian, and going into CS. If you need financial aid, then Matches become Reaches, and Safetys become Matches.

It would help if you told more about yourself, i.e. do you like warm/cold weather, like big or small schools, east, west, or in between coasts, do you want a big Asian population near you, etc…
