I got admitted into UIUC LAS comp sci & statistics, I was wondering how challenging the program is and also how tough the grading is. I have heard couple of students dropping out from 1st year as they couldn’t handle the course work. I am an average student with lot of B’s in my AP courses in high school, was wondering if this is the right school for me and if I "ll thrive or struggle in this school.
Grading is pretty light in the introductory CS classes. It’s a challenging program, but it’s not hard to pull a solid grade if you keep up with the work. I haven’t taken any stats classes other than STAT400, but I’ve heard that they’re not bad other than 410.
