Computer Science Summer Program to learn basics?

DD2 is a high school senior and will be starting college in the fall. She will be majoring in engineering of some sort. She is interested in taking a summer program that will allow her to explore Computer Science. I am thinking a 2 or 3 week program would be ideal. I think a 1 week program is probably too limited.

We live in Illinois. We are interested in finding a program that will be interesting, educational, and giving her some insight about whether she might be interested in exploring further.

Can someone suggest what programs might be a good fit for her?

Thank you!

She could easily use an online site like CodeCademy.
A quick search has turned up idTech (https://www.idtech.com/locations/illinois-summer-camps/)
Here’s a site that will help you in your search: http://www.studenteducationprograms.com/computer-camps/

It’s not a direct answer to your question, but what about taking CS50X this spring or add summer? It’s online and free.

This would give a pretty solid overview, especially if she also did a 2-3 week program.
