<p>Not sure what’s best for a cs major, but in general for everyone, consider getting an ultraportable that weighs under 3 lbs with a screen of at least 11.6" and a decent speed processor…should be able to get something under $400 easily. Windows machines are used by more students at USF than Apples. 5 and 6 lb laptops get heavy lugging around and you’ll end up not wanting to take it anywhere. Buy Microsoft Office suite program from USF computer store discounted for about $20 and you’ll be all set for most needs at school.</p>
