Computer Science

Currently as a Junior in High School, i’ve started looking at colleges and Iowa came up as a possible college, as an affordable Big 10 School which is known for a high standard of education.

I’m currently shooting for a Computer Science or Computer Programming major, and I would like to know from anyone who is currently or is thinking of taking the same path what their thoughts are on the Computer Science department as a whole, professors, up to date technology and teaching methods, etc.

If anyone can offer any insight, it would be greatly appreciated.

My dad went to Iowa for a degree in computer science. He said it was tough, but prepared him very well for his future career. He ended up going to WashU in St. Louis for his grad degree so I guess it really did prepare him for it.

Hope that helps!
