<p>in my college class there was this guy with a tablet. it seems really convenient. however, if the computer goes kookoo or gets stolen then you are done for.</p>

<p>cc77… I did just that for my first year. All you have to do is call the Financial Aid Office and ask them for an increase in your budget. They will give you a loan for up to $4000 for a new computer.</p>
<p>I’m ordering a computer from the Apple Store for Education online, which gives me an Educational Discount, not to mention the Penn-specific Apple Store for Education gives us an additional discount.</p>
