Computing vs Computer Science?

<p>At my college, the dept. of Economics offers a specialization in computing. Can anyone tell me what (if any) the difference between “computing” and “computer science” is?</p>

<p>On my resume, I would like to denote it as “specialization in computer science” but I’m not sure if that is allowed.</p>

<p>It depends. In some places they are interchangeable. In your case, since it’s offered by the econ department, I’d imagine that it’s specifically applications of CS to econ.</p>
