Concentration during the ACT test: How do you maintain it?

Alright, this is my problem. When ever a proctor is standing over my shoulder or next time me looking at my grid, I completely lose concentration! Its not like I am cheating! (i assure you, I wouldn’t sink to that level, lol) But I feel really nervous and just can’t concentrate. Has this happened to anyone else before? Any suggestions of how to overcome it would be EXTREMELY helpfull! Thanks! Btw, I am taking it sept 15, so please reply soon.

Yeah, you’re too anxious about this exam. Remember, you can take it an infinite amount of times, so relax-until the last one =P. When you’re taking this test, only focus on the exam. This isn’t the time to worry about other people looking at you. Anyways, it is the proctor’s job to look around. Good luck.

lol, the proctor i had didn’t even walk around. she just sat in front of the desk and look at us for a bit, then she went back minding her own business.

Yeah, all the proctors I’ve ever had never walk around.

My proctor looked at me in a weird way. Maybe because I was the only one there wearing a college shirt.

thanks everyone, i will try and relax.

my proctor actually TALKED to me during the reading section about my poor bubbling skills.
