Concordia Villages College Credit vs High School

Hey ya’ll,

I’ve been to Concordia Language Villages El Lago Del Bosque for 2 weeks and loved every minute of it! Now I really want to go for 4 weeks. I think I can handle the college credit program and would love to get college credit for going to camp, but I’m worried that I won’t get to really bond with others at camp or do any activities because of the work load. I can’t tell from the website how seperate the college credit villagers are from the rest of the camp. How is it different than the high school credit? Do you still sing songs, go to the dances, can you participate in the i-day dance?

Even if you went to a different language camp or didn’t participate in the college credit thing, I’d love to hear anything that you know about it!

I can’t believe they would deny you i-day participation – EVERYONE gets to go to I-Day! My D went to Finnish camp for two years of high school credit, but they don’t offer a college credit option for Finnish (at least, they didn’t when she did it), so I don’t know about the differences. Although she studied hard for the high school credit, she certainly still got to do a lot of fun activities. If I were you I would call CLV and ask them about it.
