<p>Is someone ineligible to be a National Merit Finalist if he or she has been suspended from school?</p>

<p>Wow. I would think they would be by National Merit standards but since it involves having a lot of help from the student’s school (principle, counselor, teachers) then it would be up to the school if they will help him/her.</p>

<p>i’m guessing that would be up to the school based on item #4, unless there was something addressing that in Merit Scholarship Application in item #6. </p>
