<p>Sorry…I wasn’t shouting at you with ALLCAPS. I was emphasizing that there was no misunderstanding. I understand – and understood – what you were saying. But if you’re going to say, “let’s level the playing field”…then you can’t say “let’s take away the North’s advantage (in ammo) and leave the South’s advantage (in leadership).” I just wanted to point out that for every “but for” you can invoke, I can invoke one, too, and then we get right back to where we started. But, yes, I think if the terrain was uniformly flat and there were no rivers and weather was sunny year 'round, the South would have won.</p>
<p>Ah, I see, very good point D’yer Maker. I was indeed ignorant in not seeing how I reduced the strength of one, but not that of the other. But you see, I was just trying to play out the ammunition bit as a minor strength, and thus thought it was practically negligable yet still a tipping point (which is also a good book by Malcom Gladwell.) But I suppose miscalculated this magnitude of such a strength, and I thank you for bringing this to my attention.</p>
