<p>I don’t think you have to prove it. My son wasn’t even 18 yet when we applied for aid.</p>
<p>S is in the same boat. You cant get govt aid if you are age 18 or older without a confirmation of registration to SS. You can call fin aid and let them know and there is an online confirmation site which you could print out if you get it to confirm.</p>
<p>NC Mom- you didnt have to show registration because your S was not yet 18.</p>
