learn to deal with it or go to the RA?

Yeah roommates can be a drag if you aren’t compatible. Just keep a safe distance from the start and establish boundaries… a lot of times people are excited and generous at first and share everything with their roommate, but after awhile it causes lots of problems.

Don’t try to be your roommates best friend just because you are his/her roommate. Just be friendly with each other, considerate, polite. But don’t take any *****.

I would say invest in a good pair of noise canceling headphones. At UCSD, we live in confined suites. My suite mates are pretty obnoxious, but my headphones keep me sane :)
