Confused 23 -- New Ignore thread

After seeing the corruption of several new threads by Confused 23 (and I applaud you TN for taking him on – but it is pointless), I thought I would start a thread of posters who will put him on “ignore.” This should serve to purge his crap from cc – a worthy goal! If you agree, and are willing to “ignore”, please add your name to this thread. We have all argued with him from time to time and I, for one. see no point and would prefer to simply shut him off.

BTDT.

Of course, I just might come out swinging on the little prick again soon.

(In case you don’t know how: click on his name, then view public profile, then click add to ignore list)

Pointless indeed. Although the little bugger did back himself into a corner nicely. I always love the easy targets with small minds.

Operation: Ignore is a go.

Good idea with the thread, btw.

He was born there. He has hit rock-bottom, pulled out the jackhammer, and started digging. He is a legend in his own mind.

He argues all his points to his complete satisfaction. He thinks he is a mental dynamo, but the comparison is valid only because his brain spins round and round frantically without ever actually getting anywhere. People will follow him, but only out of curiosity.

I have been referred to as a “has-been” on this site, which is fine. Could be argued. Poor confused, however, is more of a “definitely won’t-be”. When he opens his mouth, it seems that this is only to change whichever foot was previously in there. The speed at which he does it should soon attract the attention of the Cirque Du Soleil.

He would be out of his depth in a puddle of his own voit were he old enough to drink. As a champion for World Socialism and Revolution, he suffers from what can only be described as delusions of adequacy. He sets low persuasional standards and then consistently fails to achieve them. He should go far - and the sooner he starts, the better, because somewhere, this kid is depriving a village somewhere of an idiot.

I don’t care if it was cut-and-pasted and then edited. It felt good! :D

I still think he needs a spanking. LOL I too, have put him in the ignore list as of yesterday afternoon. Lesson learned AFDad. Kudos to you for this thread! :)

If I may add one more point…

To the folks like Shogun, Bill, etc., whith whom I’ve had words over the months: I recognize that I flew off the handle more than once, but that was because I mistook you guys for being part of the Fringe Left so perfectly exemplified by Confused and his inane rantings. The mistake was made evident during later exchanges, both on the board as well as through IM’s. I am confident that assumptions made about me were also dispelled in that process.

However, what I was railing against is EXACTLY the kind of ABSOLUTE INSANITY you see our resident ■■■■■ going on and on about, not because some idiot somewhere believes it (Hell, I can show you people who think “The Matrix” is REAL!), but rather because an entire political party has become COMPLETELY INFESTED with that mindset, and because they therefore pose a direct threat to the safety of this nation.

There was once a time when politics ended at the water’s edge, and when an attacked America would respond as ONE nation with all the savagery it could muster in order to WIN. Sadly, those days are long gone. The only place where anything resembling reasoned discourse is taking place is from the center to the RIGHT, and a great deal of discourse is being had (which is good). From the center to the LEFT however, all you have is America-hating, Bush-bashing, blinded hatred. These people are STILL chewing the carpets over what happened in 2000, and if it means bringing down the entire country, they’ll do it just so they can be in power again.

THAT is what I revile, and will continue to speak out openly and passionately about and against. I can be passionate in the discussions on our side of the spectrum, too, but at least there most of the protagonists deserve some level of respect for at least TRYING to THINK about the issue. The left has long since ceased even being respectable.

I’m glad Confused has decided to curse us with his presence, as it provides a perfect example of what our forces are up against from the INSIDE. Remember, people: “against ALL enemies, FOREIGN AND DOMESTIC”.

YES, I consider them a DOMESTIC enemy, because if they WERE true allies of our enemies, would they really sound any different than they do now, when they claim NOT to be?

I deeply worry about the nation I swore to defend and which we are leaving to our children. :(

What does adding him to the ignore list do?

You won’t see anything he posts.

Zaphod, you are anything but a has-been on these forums.

You are one of the few BTDT people, and those parents who refer to you as such, and kids, have nothing on you. They haven’t been there, they haven’t done that, and I will always have respect for a member of the military. Some of the parents here (NOT all) can get a “holier than thou” attitude because John Q. Citizen is going to USxA, and they think that puts them on a pedestal. Anyway, I for one have the utmost respect for you.

You are leaving a bleeding nation in the hands of the next generation. And I continually remind myself that I am going to swear to defend the Constitution (NOTHING else) against all enemies both foreign and domestic (and this I will do). So while there is much to fear, as all democracies come to an end, I hope that I and others like me will be able to carry on, at least through one more generation, those things that have made this country great.

It is people like C23, people harboring thoughts of hatred against this country, that will spell its doom. These people are small brains, narrow-minded views, utopian dreams and are utterly useless to this nation. It used to be that both liberal and conservative meant good things to this nation. Back when JFK was president and everyone loved this nation.

Here’s a nugget:

<a href=“No prison stay for 5-foot-1 child molester”>No prison stay for 5-foot-1 child molester;

First off, thank you for the kind words. :)

In all fairness, the kids at USxA right NOW are better sources oof information than I am about how the place is right NOW. What I have always wanted to bring to this forum is the perspective of one who has lived through the whole spectrum; before, during, and after the Academy, including post-military. The overwhelming majority of the folks here see that and have been kind enough to appreciate it, and that’s enough for me. As for the rest… <shrug>.</shrug>

Go easy on the parents. Sure, I pound on them for being a bit over the top about their kids, but that’s only because I lived one side of it. I might be just as guilty (well, maybe not nearly as much) if one of mine decides to go (althought I WILL rub it in their mother’s face! ) They’re just proud of their kids. It’s natural. The fact is that I may have been the first one to turn the mirror on them and say, “Hey! You! Shut up and take a look, here!” All meant for the best of course. Again, those who appreciated it have said so, and as for the others… <shrug>.</shrug>

As for the politics, we are entering a dark time in our history. One side has completely abandoned any notion of being American first, and the other side’s party has decided to ignore its constituents. Revolutions have started over that sort of thing, and I’m not talking about the kind that Clueless would be happy with. The next few election cycles are going to be VERY intense, and it wouldn’t surprise me if we see all sorts of flip-flops of power with neither party getting a real upper hand (Suits me. Gridlock in government is GOOD for the PEOPLE).

That said, this Fifth Column we have running around our country pretending they’re Americans are going to have to be dealt with sooner or later. I just hope I’m still young and fit enough to still wield a weapon when the time comes. Yes, I believe it will be violent, I’m sorry to say.

If JFK were alive today, he would be branded a tax-cuts-for-the-rich, extremist-Christian (Catholic to boot), war-mongering, wasting-money-on-the-moon, nuclear-saber-rattling, peaceful-island-invading psychopath by the twits that now occupy his party. JFK was a moderate Conservative. He must be rolling in his grave to see what his brother has morphed into.

Sometimes I wonder what it may come to, when that time of decision arrives. I don’t know if we have enough people here who won’t just roll over. It seems people are afraid of verbal confrontation, much less physical confrontation involving civil war. I understand that it will probably be necessary at some point, but the question is will we have enough people to fight it.

During the Revolutionary War, it is estimated that only about 10-15% of the population was for the cause. Most of the rest were ambivalent.

It only takes a few, but I’ll admit that the mindless masses of sheep “in the middle” will probably just sit their and complain that American Idol isn’t on anymore.

wait - the Matrix isn’t real?

That’s an interesting bit about the Revolutionary War. That makes me feel a little better.

“And if enemies came against the land (for enemies will arise) and there was war, would you be the first in the charge and the last in the retreat?”

“When they come to get you, how you gonna come; with your hands on your head, or on the trigger of your gun?”

MOLON LABE! :D

Thank you, thank you, thank you for telling about the ignore function! I had no idea I could do this. No more confused23!!! :D

While I disagree with much of what confused has to say it seems a bit strange that we choose to put him on ignore and then devote a whole thread to talking about him without giving him the opportunity to respond in kind. (Much like talking about someone behind their back).

I have to think about this one…

Good Point Shogun -
No need to ignore because his arguments aren’t valid anyway.

It’s always good to know what kind of ammo the enemy is using (and how worthless it is!).

Cheers everyone!

The ignore function is nice, but at the same time, I’m always tempted by that nagging curiosity to see what has poured forth from his mouth.

I do find it rather entertaining to listen to someone so ignorant rant cluelessly on a topic.

shogun: I know he can read what we’re saying, and I hope he does. If he wants to take his foot out of his mouth and pipe up, he’s free to. He should just be prepared for the consequences of his actions.
