Confused about accepting my UCD offer

I was waitlisted for admission to UCD, but I was accepted today. One of the conditions are that I get 2.8 in each of my courses in spring. I’m taking 3 classes this quarter in CCC (multivariable calculus, statistics, physics :mechanics). I don’t think I will be able to get a 2.8 in my calc class, at least realistically speaking. How strict are they will this condition? My major is marine and coastal science.

I have SIRed to UCSC already, their contract says I just need to get C in all my courses which I will be able to get easily. Is it “wrong” to not to cancel my SIR until my grades come out, so if UCD rescinds me I have UCSC to fall back to?

Did UCD give you a deadine?

@luckie1367 Yes they did, it’s 6/12/15 (one week from today).

Then I’d call/email UCD and ask them if there is any flexibility in your contract for the grades you will receive.

They might not be able to tell you, but its worth a shot.

If not, you still have UCSC

@luckie1367 When you say “If not, you still have UCSC”, is it considered ok to maintain my UCSC SIR status for a while , after I SIR to UCD?

No, what I mean is don’t SIR to UCD yet. Instead, call them on Monday, explain your situation, and ask if your grades will get you rescinded.
