Confused about Digipen SAT scores

My brother wants to attend Digipen for game design, and his SAT scores weren’t all that great, but he told me it’s ok because Digipen’s SAT scores suck. This seems very strange to me. Hopefully someone who knows about the school can shine some light on this.

Digipen is considered the very best or among the very best schools for game design. Yet according to collegeboard.com, their 25-75% range on the SATs is 1520-1940. And their website says the average is “usually above 1700”. This seems inconsistent. I mean, I know SATs aren’t everything, but these numbers seem quite low for the very best program in a technical field, and with most colleges, low SAT scores imply low selectivity. But Digipen appears to be pretty selective. So I am confused about why their average SAT scores appear low and I am not convinced that these numbers are correct. It looks like the schools with similarly prestigious game design programs are pulling 25-75% ranges of roughly 1850-2150. So what’s going on here?
