Confused about local scholarship applications regarding income and asset information

My daughter brought home several applications for local scholarships. Some of the questions on the forms are confusing, for example one form asks for “family taxable income”. Now I don’t know if they mean W2 income (gross wages), AGI or line 43 of 1040. One of the forms clearly states line 43 of 1040, but other does not elaborate.
Also they have a line that asks for “number of dependents in family”, again it is not specified who they mean, just the children or also wife if only husband works? The other form asks clearly for “dependent children” and I told daughter, yes she is still our dependent.
Lastly they ask for “family assets or resources”, I assume I put bank account balances there (checking and savings account of everyone in the household), but not sure about 529 account or retirement accounts.

I tried to call the phone number on the form, but didn’t reach anyone, school is closed so can’t ask GC.
And of course this is due on Thursday.

Does anyone have any advice for me?

Ok, I got to talk to the lady and she answered my questions. I guess they wanted the taxable income from the 1040. And only dependent children. And assets like bank accounts and 529, but not retirement accounts.

But every scholarship may be different so make sure to ask if you are not sure and do it with time to spare…
