<p>I’ve always been a part of the Asian kids crowd where everyone wants to be a doctor. As a junior, I started going to TAMS (Texas Academy of Mathematics and Science), a school for high school juniors/seniors to take college courses while living on a college campus. I screwed up so badly first semester - I’m returning spring semester with a mere 2.8 GPA. Pretty much, my dreams of being a doctor were destroyed because of my poor choices first semester,</p>
<p>Now, I have no idea where I am going in life. Of course, I am going to put in all my effort from now on, and hopefully I can achieve a GPA of at least a 3.4 and the end of first semester senior year.</p>
<p>My SAT scores are not bad, but not amazing. The last SAT I took I got 2090, last PSAT was 216. I’m aiming for at least a 2200 as a final score on SAT.</p>
<p>Only certain schools even accept TAMS credit - from what I’ve heard, it’s most Texas and California schools.</p>
<p>I’ve always been interested in international relations/studies or maybe international law. However, I am not very informed about any of these fields of studies. What do people usually major in for these - political science? international studies? For international law - is it just a subsection of law school? What are the careers available for international relations/studies? What about governmental jobs? I’m under Chinese citizenship right now (US resident), if I want to go into international anything, would it be a good idea to apply for American citizenship?</p>
