CONFUSED! Again! :(

Hey! I’ve registered for ACT (without writing) for the test on 12th June and I still don’t know what it is about! :frowning: Plus I’m appearing for SAT on the 5th… Shall I still stand a chance to score well on ACT?? ANY suggestions for a crash course? :(

Check their website and see what topics they cover?
Also some practice tests should tell you how the structure is.

The first round of the tests are usually just for getting used to the format. Once you have done the SAT and the ACT, you’ll choose one you felt more comfortable with (and feel you can improve on) and then just practice regularly.

That’s not to say you shouldn’t be prepared, but just don’t push yourself too much and try to get used to the formats and see what fits you.

Thank you for your response!
I’ve already appeared for SAT once last October and have scored a 2010… But i don’t know what the ACT is about… I have to practice A LOT for the June SAT as I aim to score higher… So, can you suggest a crash course for the ACT? Is it possible to crack the ACT if I have only 15 days on hand? Or shall I suspend it to October?

How well you perform depends a lot on your present capability.
I don’t remember well, but I thought that after registering it’s not refundable?
If you have paid already and are not getting it back, it’s just better to go and at least see what it’s all about.

Since you have already done the SAT, you’ve probably reviewed some topics that will help you in the Math section, but 15 days still won’t be enough to get used to time-constraints (if you’re not used to them now). Yet, I don’t think you should dedicate too much time to it unless you have a preference for the test, which you won’t know until you go for it.

My advice is to practice a lot for SAT because you’re aiming for it already and then sit for the ACT and see what it’s about. It’s not easy to advice in such things because it depends lot on the person.

This part of ACT’s website has many useful links, especially the last ones (there ‘free test questions’, which are identical to the real ones):
[ACT Test Prep](<a href=“ACT Test Preparation | Test Prep Resources | ACT”>ACT Test Preparation | Test Prep Resources | ACT)

I’ll specially give you this link for the ‘content’ of each ACT part so you know what it’s about:
[ACT Test Prep : Description of the ACT Test](<a href=“ACT Test Preparation | Test Prep Resources | ACT”>ACT Test Preparation | Test Prep Resources | ACT)

Thanks for your advice!! Yeah, ACT is non-refundable!! But I was thinking about giving up as I don’t really want a bad score on my records!
Anyway, thanks a lot! :)

^ Don’t worry, the ACT company does not give anyone a choice to see all ACT scores (unlike SAT, I think?). You just send the score you want and nobody will ever know you have another one.
