I’ve been in college now for three years. I attend a CUNY school in New York City.

But I don’t know what to do now. I feel like I’ve learned nothing, and have lost all interest for my major. Looking at other majors, none seem to interest me. The only thing I’m really interested in learning now is Japanese, but the only school to offer this in New York as a major is Columbia, which I can’t get into or afford.

I’m confused. Every day at class feels like another pointless venture for me. I’m miserable, I’m not interested, I’m not learning, and the one thing I’m interested in is unavailable to me. And I can’t study abroad because 1) it’s too pricey and 2) I have too much here that I can’t leave behind.

What do I do? I’m so confused.
