<p>I got an Email from SF state saying i need to sign up to take the Math Entrance/placement exam. Im signed up to take it, in the email it said to not wait to receive an admission decision before signing up ( i havent received one yet) and if I dont take it I cant register for classes. Does that mean i’ve been accepted?</p>
<p>Also, I had 2 low grades first semester this year (senior) and I plan on writing a letter to explain why. It was not a result from lazyness or carelessness. Basically, How bad do your grades have to be for them to revoke your acceptance?</p>
<p>It doesn’t sound like you’ve been accepted yet but rather that anyone who applies and has a good chance of attending the school needs to take the placement tests.</p>
<p>It depends on the college as to what grades would cause revocation of admission. Unless you are failing or are getting lots of D’s, it’s hard to know for sure. Since the low grades were not a result of laziness or carelessness on your part, maybe your guidance counselor should help write the letter to explain the reason(s).</p>
<p>Usually if you get multiple D’s (I assume 2 or more) or your GPA dips below a 3.0 is grounds for revoking your admission. In regards to the testing, what SEA_tide said seems right.</p>
