Confused florida cc student!!!

I would like to transfer to the University of Tampa for fall. I will be graduating this summer. I asked the adviser if the school was apart of the transfer agreement where you get guaranteed admissions she said no. I am now looking at the facts.org website and it says “Granted admission with an AA to the state university system (SUS) or one of the private institutions that belong to the Independent Colleges and Universities of Florida, Inc. (ICUF)”. University of Tampa is listed as belonging to the ICUF. What should I do?

Generally speaking, it’s always best to go to the school you are intending on transferring to with any questions like that. Comm college counselors are great, but they are not the best source for the most accurate and up to date information for a school they are not working at. Admissions counselors at utampa, or wherever, would be.

The transfer thing says:
Students transferring from either a Florida public community college or one of the community colleges with which UT has an articulation agreement (see below) with an Associate of Arts degree may be accepted with junior standing (minimum 60 credit hours).

I’m not really sure that addresses auto-admit so much as just “if you get in, we will consider your geneds fulfilled.” Even if they do have a deal like that, most schools have certain majors that are still limited admissions (nursing is a common one) and would require additional requirements. Not sure what you were looking to study, but the page I linked to above actually has a list of majors that have a different process and different requirements from the standard admission process.

You might want to apply soon if you were interested in this fall too! Looks like the priority deadline was May 1st.
