Confused High School Senior

As a current senior in high school, my mind is racing over college. I want to go into medicine after undergraduate study (specifically neurology), and I planned on majoring in either biomedical engineering or electrical (nerve impulse) engineering. As stated in the title, I am confused over my choices. Here is where I am applying or plan to:

University of Pittsburgh (APPLIED)
Purdue University (APPLIED)
University of Notre Dame (APPLIED)
Harvard (APPLIED)
MIT
Penn
Duke
U of Miami (APPLIED)
Northwestern

I currently live about an hour outside Chicago in Indiana, and staying around home would be nice but it isnt a deciding factor. I am looking for great alumni and atmosphere, but also to be surrounded with research opportunities. My numbers are as follows:

34 ACT
790 Math II, 800 Chem
President of 2 clubs, VP of 2

Am I in over my head, or what other schools would you recommend? Thanks in advance

You will definitely have acceptances on your list. My only question would be if you have run net price calculators for these schools and you know you can afford them. Just make sure you have at least one financial safety on your list that you know you can afford no matter what. If finances aren’t too big a deal, what about U of Michigan?

I actually toured UMich, but was not a big fan. The spread-out campus didn’t have the feeling I always wanted out of a college

Normally I would say that pre-med and engineering don’t mix, but given your test scores, I would say you’re one of the few who could actually handle it and maintain their GPA. (The only other kid I know of is a family friend who’s got a 36 ACT, but don’t worry, his first choice is Stanford.) Just make sure you apply to everything on the list.

Good luck.
