This is a science question I got with princeton review practice test:
According to the passage, a similarity between eukaryotes and prokaryotes is that both groups of organism:
F. have ester linkage in their membranes
G. contain membrane-bound organelles
H. reproduce sexually
J. are composed of cells
The passages states: "Arachaea cell membranes contain more rigid ether linkages instead of the ester linkages found in eukaryotes and bacteria.
I look up explanation,
The last paragraph states that eukaryotes and prokaryotes have ester linkages in their cell membrane, eliminating choice (F).
I think I’m just confused because of the explanation. I think what they meant to say that, since this is a conflicting scientists question, it was only 1 scientist’s point of view. The passage also states bacteria instead of prokaryotes. Am I right? I’m just very confused about the explanation, because it make no sense to eliminate a true answer.
