Confused... What does this mean?

Hey guys. I went onto myucf and I clicked the Financial Aid—>Student Center—>View Financial Aid—> 2012
and it said that it said that I got:

Award Description Category Offered
BF Florida Medallion Sch Spr Scholarship 1,316.00
BF Florida Medallion Sch Fall Scholarship 1,316.00
Aid Year Totals 2,632.00

What does this mean…?

Looks like Bright Futures.

So…Did I get anything? lol

You got the medallion award which is 75% (or $94 per credit hour). Mine says the same exact thing though I qualify for the Academic Scholars (100% or $125 per credit hour) not the Medallion. Guess they need to update it since I turned in my volunteer hours…

So the Academic Scholars is the “100%” one (even though it’s not technically 100% anymore)? Because don’t you need 75 community service hours for that? I only have 67 and I just looked at my My UCF account and it’s told me I’ve gotten the “BF Florida Academic Sch”

@ tardis- yeah the so-called 100%, florida academic scholar reward has really dropped to like 75%, if not less. the medallion has dropped also. yeah you do need 75 hours for the academic. guess you got lucky lol.

@theTARDIS ; same here!
I don’t have 75 hours AT ALL, and I just looked and it said I got the academic one too!!

I heard they completely dropped the service hours for all of the scholarships.

@MaydayParade; really? where did you hear that? is there somewhere I could read this?

@MaydayParade Yeah, where did you read this? I went back and looked at the Bright Futures website and it still said 75 comm. serv. hours.

I just heard it. Maybe those people are wrong. Idk . Probably incorrect if it’s still on the website lol.
