I have a number of questions about my classes. First, there is a gifted program at my high school that I am in. Will this mean anything for admission? Additionally, I am required to start my IB diploma next year (sophomore), will this be any different from normal IB diplomas? I also have some HL and SL classes, what will be the difference? Will taking IB biology in addition to my required IB physics be good? Also, my school doesn’t do + or - grading, will getting 2 B+'s in second semester lower my GPA significantly? I have all A’s otherwise. I also have some classes that are both IB and AP, do these count as both to colleges? Lastly, my main question is, I’d like to go to Stanford and I was wondering if the two B+'s hurt my chances by a lot or if my course load makes up for it? If it helps, I’m in an academy for soccer as well. I know it seems naive to be worrying about colleges after freshman year but I can’t stop thinking about my 2 B+'s. Any answers would be appreciated.
